Applications: Designed for interior and exterior corrosion protection of smaller diameter pipe.
Features & Benefits:
Economically priced 12 mil polyethylene tape. Excellent conformability to irregular surfaces. High dielectric strength. Moisture resistant. Tough, butyl rubber pressure sensitive adhesive system unaffected by cold. Uniformly aggressive bond of tape-to-metal at operating temperatures of -30°F to 140°F. Tape to metal can be cold applied. We recommend Polyken® 1027 Primer be used in conjunction with this product.

Metal Detectable Underground Tape
Available Colors/Legends: Red-Electric; Blue-Water; Yellow-Gas; Green-Sewer; Orange-Communication; Purple-Reclaimed Water; Brown-Forced Main.
Primary use: Required by code in many localities, and  cheaper then using the back hoe to search for that old gas main... Imprinted metallic film lasts longer, and is locatable from the surface with a nonferrous locator.
